Dr. Bigley is an experienced operational excellence executive. As a leader, he has been in positions where companies achieved ‘pole-position’ capabilities and were able to sustained market share across multiple product life-cycles. He is passionate about rapid product development, scaling at minimal incremental cost, organizational innovation, security assurance, and performance excellence in global supply chains. His background includes product launches, product development, business M&A, intrapreneurial & entrepreneurial endeavors, business unit integrations, industry-first programs, and business value creation through problem-solving in high volume environments.
Dr. Bigley has 35 plus years of leadership experience in senior management positions and has worked on-assignment in 24 countries/40 cities internationally and 12 states/20 locations in the U.S. across a variety of functions including; logistics, manufacturing, shipping, fulfillment, and localization. He has also managed support functions including; R&D, inventory management, knowledge/learning management, software development, infrastructure management, and vendor management. He has led distressed business recoveries and significant expansion activities in Europe, England, Korea, Taiwan, and the US, as well as product development work in the US, Taiwan, Korea, and China. Specializing in organizational effectiveness and having a passion for service excellence, he holds ten quality and productivity certifications, including Certified Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, from the American Society for Quality. Dr. Bigley received his Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine in 2015 with honors, an M.S. in Operations Management in 2000 with a concentration in technology, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1992. He has guest lectured at USC, UCLA, and at Pepperdine University, where he is also an adjunct faculty in the Graziadio School of Business and Seaver College. His research interests include organizational performance optimization, sustained growth across multiple product cycles, and product/service innovation. Starting as an Assistant Professor in the Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business in the fall of 2016, he teaches, or has taught, Organizational Management, Leadership in Organizations, Transnational Management, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, and Fundamentals of Business in the undergrad and graduate School of Business for MBA, ITM, and Leadership Ph.D. level students.
Bigley published two books in 2019 on the topics of corporate growth and change leadership and has written or co-written over 50 peer-reviewed academic journal articles and has published over 45 business cases. His third book was published in 2020 about cultural efficacy. Bigley has his own active consulting firm that provides leadership related services to medium and large size corporations.
Dr. Weniger has more than 20 years of experience specializing in marketing and international business. He has worked in retail, wholesale, and manufacturing sectors. His experience began in his family’s business, Medela Inc., the world’s largest maternity products manufacturer. More recently he was the President and CEO of Asli Inc., a lawn and garden online retailer, followed by holding the positions of Marketing Director of Gold’s Gym, and President and CEO of Cornerstone Behavioral Health Group.
Dr. Weniger is a tenured professor at California Baptist University and specializes in international business and management. He has runs the International Business major and teaches courses in International Business, International Management, International Marketing, Global Business Management, and Small Business Management. He also has lead nearly a dozen study abroad programs for CBU.
His teaching philosophy uses both theory and practice to challenge students with a wide array of viewpoints. He strives to ensure students form a holistic picture on current events and global issues. He maintains open class discussion on pertinent and current topics offering a safe yet challenging environment for students to explore areas of interest to them.
Marc’s research interests reside in global cultures. He is particularly interested in the implications of culture and values to the areas of economics, international business and poverty. His cultural research focuses on the work of Inglehart, The World Values Study, Hofstede, the GLOBE Study, Schwartz, Furnham, Weber, and McClelland.
